Joseph Szabo (1932-1984)

Joseph SZABO (Budapest 1932 - Australia 1984)

He left for Australia in 1950. He studied at the National School of Art in Sydney and in the meantime worked at a pottery workshop. He supported himself as a painter, teacher and potter. In 1962 he started exhibiting his paintings. He taught with Jon Molvig in Brisbane and at Mary White School and Bakery School in Sydney. Szabo died in 1984. His work is exhibited in the National Gallery of Australia, among others.
