Leni Rienks (1914-2014)
Helena (Leni) RIENKS (Rotterdam 1914 - Zutphen 2014)
Until 1958 she painted most of her works in Leersum (Utrechtse Heuvelrug). Later she worked in Doetinchem, where she also taught drawing at the Kweekschool. In the late 1970s she traveled to Italy, before returning to the Netherlands where she spent the rest of her life in Zutphen. Rienks was a student of the well-known artist Lizzy Ansingh and mainly painted portraits, figures and still lifes.
