Ludwig Rohbock (1824-1893)
Ludwig Rohbock - Nuremberg 1820 - 1883 Nuremberg. Little or nothing is known about the life of Ludwig Rohbock, but it is known that he made a large number of very refined drawings of landscapes, cities, etc. in Germany and the Netherlands, among others, drawings that were later published by well-known publishers after well-known engravers such as Johannes Poppel had taken care of the engraving. Some engravings by Ludwig Rohbock were published in the well-known ?The Kingdom of the Netherlands? presented in a series of Picturesque Views drawn from nature, and described by JL Terwen. In addition to drawing, Ludwig Rohbock painted, he worked in the vicinity of Berlin, Saxony, Thueringen and the Harz. Ludwig Rohbock is mentioned in the lexicon _lrich Thieme, Felix Becker ao in Volume 28 by EA Seemann, Leipzig 1934 p. 520.
