Education

Dillemans studied at various art academies and graduated from the Art Academy (Institut national supérieur d'expression plastique, option art) in Tourcoing.

Biography

A documentary about his life and work, The madness of detail was awarded a gold FIPA D'or at the 2008 International Festival of Audiovisual Programs in Biarritz (Festival International des Programs Audiovisuels). The Concertgebouw Orchestra commissioned Sam Dillemans to make the portrait of conductor Mariss Jansons.
