Wim Theewis (1923-1988)
Wim THEEWIS (Zaandam 1923 - Zaandam 1988). Wim Theewis became known in the 1950s for his conferences in Zaans. Especially in the Zaan region, but also beyond, he managed to draw full houses. Together with his brother Ko, he was part of the Zaans Kleinkunst Ensemble, which performed regularly for the radio.
Wim Theewis is also known for the clown portraits he painted.
