Catherina Francisca (Tineke) BOT Hilversum, 17 June 1945 Catherina Francisca (Tineke) Bot) is a Dutch sculptor and painter. Tineke Bot is an autodidact. She learned sculpting from Mari Andriessen and bronze casting from well-known Dutch bronze casters. Bob Hoope taught her to draw and paint. In 1970 Bot started her studio in Hilversum. Since her first solo exhibition in Laren in 1974, she has exhibited several times in the Netherlands and abroad. She has lived in France since 1994. Bot mainly makes figurative, bronze sculptures, in which the body and spirituality of the human being are central. In addition to sculptures, she also makes watercolors and graphics.
