Beide werken verkeren in goede conditie en zijn hand-gesigneerd. Losbladig - niet in passe partout of lijst.
Jacques Pecnard (1922-2012) was a French painter, engraver, sculptor and illustrator born in September 1922 in Vincennes. He began his illustrator career in 1940, and pursued her for almost twenty five years. He is one of the illustrators of the Famous Amours of the daily France-Soir, and collaborated for the reviews Elle and Fémina. Pecnard illustrated a large number of books for Parisian publishers, such as Hachette, Flammarion, the Rouge et Or collection, Les Éditions Larousse and others. He also worked in the advertising field where his participation was constant. In 1971, he won the press illustrators' prize. Around the 1970s, he turned to painting, and produced illustrations in dry tip, aquatint or lithography. The publishers of Bibliophilia works command many works to him. Later in the 1970's he started to focus on painting. He is specially known for his portraits of Charles De Gaulle. He died on June 16, 2012 in Montmorency.
